Thornbury Castle chimney detail: brick chimneys built in 1514, in Thornbury, near Bristol, England. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
In 2008 we traveled to the United Kingdom – something I had always wanted to do. We visited several counties in Ireland as well. Midway through our journey we stayed at (click on the following link for more information) THORNBURY CASTLE
It is located in the Village of Thornbury not far from Bristol. We stayed at the Castle for 2 or 3 nights. It was an amazing experience.
I am very thankful I had the opportunity to see and stay at such a beautiful and historic venue. I would highly recommend it

What a fantastic place to stay.
Yes, it was a once in a lifetime experience. The dining room was really special and the waiter treated us like we were king and queen
