I don’t have a list of things I want to do before I “kick the proverbial bucket” but I feel that I should. Am I lacking imagination or is it that I am totally satisfied with my life and have fulfilled all my ambitions? I am not sure which of the two is more accurate.
It is true that I have enjoyed an interesting life thus far. I lived in diverse parts of Australia and had a few trips overseas. I can’t seem to catch the “travel bug” that captivates a lot of people I know.
I tried very hard to think of something I would really like to do and I found something!
I would like to travel on the Ghan Railway. The following link from Wikipedia provides some more information on The Ghan
Did Adelaide to Alice return about 10 years ago. It was fun, but long enough for me (just under 24 hours).
I did something like the Ghan this year . . .

A relaxing way to travel. Enjoy the journey.
I so want to take a train trip across Australia, but when I looked at the prices, I nearly had a heart attack.
I agree with you 100%. I have looked the Ghan so many times and always come away shaking my head and wondering how they can charge that much! I could have a few weeks in Europe for the same cost – but I don’t want to go to Europe
